Green Tea Lemonade

Super simple, refreshing, and easy…..three of my favorite words used to describe a recipe! N and I went out to eat tonight at a new place around the corner – they serve vegan and vegetarian bar food….it was pretty interesting to say the least. It was also insanely hot outside – so when we got home I was craving something to cool me down. And then this happened…..ha.

Here’s what you’ll need: green tea bags, lemons, agave nectar (or honey or superfine sugar or sugar substitute), water, and ice.

Boil 2 cups of water in a tea kettle, once it’s ready pour over the green tea bags in a bowl. Allow the green tea to seep into the water for 3 minutes.

Remove the tea bags from the bowl.

Meanwhile, fill a pitcher with 3 cups of ice (p.s. shout out to Missy – that’s her pitcher! She leant it to me over the weekend…I promise it will be washed and ready to go next time I see you!).

Pour the green tea over the ice.

Juice 4 lemons to get about 3/4 c. worth of lemon juice. Add the juice to the green tea in the pitcher.

Mix in 1/4 c. agave nectar (or more depending on how sweet you want it. Stir, serve over ice – and that’s it! A super refreshing and delicious drink. Enjoy!
